2023 was the inaugural year of the Birmingham FOOD+Culture Festival, which later rebranded as Southbound Food Festival, a ten day celebration of Birmingham’s magnetic food culture. Bringing together food lovers, chefs, farmers, artisans and storytellers to share and celebrate the diverse epicurean landscape of Alabama, the annual festival typically features:

• 4-5 signature ticketed, large-scale events

• A week-long collaborative series featuring 20+ guest chef dinners, pop ups and more

• Over 100 participating chefs and beverage professionals, both local and regional

• Attracts over 3,000 guests to metropolitan Birmingham

• Sponsorship by prominent partners such as Southern Living magazine, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, Coca-Cola and others
